Symposiums 2025
Welcome
43rd Montreal International Osteopathic Symposium
June 5, 6, 7 and 8, 2025
Osteopathy and life in the tissues.
Passing on know-how from generation to generation

Tribute to Denise Laberge DO M.Sc and Jean Guy Sicotte MD, DO and all our teachers who have been teaching osteopathy for 44 years. We are delighted to invite you to our annual meeting. It's a time for sharing and rejuvenation. It's good to get together and spend some quality time together every year. Andrew Taylor Still's vision was to create a natural medicine that would enable the body to return to normality by restoring the body's functions. Dr. Still defined our profession as that of an engineer of the body and the person, who understands the interactions between all systems to enable the patient to regain balance and health. The 2025 symposium will move in this direction. We expect our profession and university training to be in Quebec, and we're doing everything we can to ensure that it's in line with the values we've built up over the past 44 years. We want to preserve what makes our profession beautiful and effective. We would also like to thank all the professors and administrators of our college for preserving tradition, fostering research and promoting clinical know-how and methodology. This year, we've chosen as our themes two phrases that inspire us in our practice: This phrase from Still DO: Take this substance, feel where it needs to go to the point of balance... and let the intelligence enter and the ligaments guide the bones back into place. And this phrase from Viola Frymann DO: It's a whole developmental process that allows you to become an intuitive, perceptive instrument, able to tune in to the patient and all that's hidden within. It's a process of becoming able to respond to the patient's deepest needs. Vital energy constantly guides tissues and systems towards normality, and our speakers will introduce these notions into their seminar topics during their workshops. This year, we will be offering two new features:
- We're in the process of creating a platform that that will host conferences, interviews and scientific publications for all of us to consult. This will be effective from next September. We would like to thank Marielle Beaulieu DO and Michel Basil DO for their help with continuing education and projects.
- The second new feature will be dedicated to raising awareness of the value of
our
teachers. We'll be inviting them to share their experiences and show you how they
treat
patients. Some of them have developed very interesting methods.
It's going to be a great evening hosted by our students - the teachers will be spread around the room and everyone can choose the meetings you want. Several of you may be treated. This event is free for all full-time and part-time students and osteopaths. On this occasion, you can share a glass of wine sponsored by the Souffle de Vie winery on the island of Montreal. This event will take place on June 6 at 19 p.m. Please register at [email protected]
We wish you all a successful symposium 2025, and many happy moments of sharing. We look forward to seeing many of you for this exciting program.
